Avaliação da eficiência técnica no transporte alternativo de Manaus utilizando a Análise de Envoltória de Dados - DEA

Abstract

This study has as objective to evidence the efficiency technique of the alternative transport of the zone east of Manaus and, to be able to give subsidies to its managers in the taking of decisions. The alternative transport today is constituted of six cooperatives that together possess two hundred and sixty vehicles of the species microbus of up to sixteen places that carry through the transport of passengers in eight lines only in the zone east of the city. For in such a way, the method used for measurement of the efficiency in the present research is called by Analysis of Envoltória of data (Date Envelopment Analysis) - DEA. One is about a boarding that if it uses of the mathematical programming to calculate efficiency indices technique between units under analysis that they carry through the same tasks, possess the same objectives and factors of production, except in intensity or magnitude. Through the DEA it was possible to construct to a model applied to the alternative transport of the zone east of Manaus and thus to identify those units that are efficient and that they go to serve of reference for that they had been inefficient. How much to the gotten results they had been representative, therefore sample that had efficiency technique in 12,5% of cooperated units e, still, serves of reference so that the cooperated , inefficient others technical, reach such efficiency.
