Resumo

The point of this dissertation is to present, typify and analyze the dynamics of trade developed by Peruvian immigrants in Benjamin Constant. A market composed of rural and urban immigrants, in which they win lives as formal traders (hotel, restaurant, beauty salon, auto shops, grocery stores, clothing stores), informal traders (Imported electronic shops, Jewelry, toys), and sub-informal traders (peddlers and Israeli agricultural communities). Precisely in the triple border of Brazil, Peru, and Columbian, the western locale of the Amazon state, this self-identified, transnational market connects economic circuits that join multiple spaces through dealers and markets that arise from necessity or from lack of product supply and basic urban equipment for survival in general. Being a region that has acquired a prominent place in the media, and in the government's definition, as an area of national security or "border zone", it presently seeks to produce awareness and to discuss and transcend these images concerning the border. First chapter outlines the rescue of the historical formation of the city with the town of "Remate de Males" denoting in its framework influences in the religious sphere and Amazon Gomífero Period, and subsequently discusses about the expansion of the city, Benjamin Constant. The second chapter presents a survey of the issues involving the migration of Peruvians in the region, as well as the characterization featuring Peruvian trade developed in Benjamin Constant. The analysis of the city of border goes beyond the stigma of drug trafficking, delinquency, social and illegal economic, and deals with with the forms of living established within the limits of several regulations of nation states, beginning through exchanges commercial and economic. The third and final chapter presents an analysis that recognizes local practices that demonstrates different ways of life, of a shattered way of living that turns in time and space and illustrate cultural and social relations, visible hybridity of languages, in culinary arts, in music, religion, leisure, or in the everyday, Amazon-river life that contextualizes the frontier town.
