A contribuição estratégica da Tecnologia de Informação (TI) na Assembleia Legislativa do Estado do Amazonas

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the perception of users and managers of the State of Amazonas Legislative Assembly (ALEAM) in relation to the strategic planning of information technology and its results. To achieve this, a survey was conducted with the ALEAM department directors. The study was descriptive and qualitative approach. The unit of analysis was the boards specifically rented in ALEAM headquarters building. ALEAM users and managers represented the subjects and data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews. The study aimed to investigate the main factors considered by ALEAM of directors to adopt IT tools to identify the main purposes of the adoption of IT tools and also describe the perception of users and managers regarding the benefits and barriers of information technology. The survey revealed that the directors and members of ALEAM do not realize the importance of strategic planning of information technology, which is a major problem faced today by the Information Technology Directorate researched, standing out as the main barriers to its implementation, lack of knowledge and the lack of interest of senior management, staff and membership, about its importance and benefits.
