Geometria de fractal aplicada aos resistores: atividade experimental investigativa baseada em evidências

Resumo

The study aimed to develop an investigative experimental activity based on evidence seeking to solve an association of resistors in a Sierpinski triangle fractal. The activity was developed through an adaptation of an experimental activity originally developed by Ching in 1994, in the article Overcoming Resistance whith Fractal. The proposal aims to contribute to the development of cognitive skills involving the basic concepts of current, voltage and resistance within the electricity and magnetism laboratory of the Federal University of Amazonas, having been applied in the first period of 2021, to students of the Physics Laboratory discipline. General III (N = 32). Edgar Morin's philosophical perspective contributes to a more delimited reflection on the vision of phenomena by exploring models that approximate reality. The teaching methodology is based on the Evidence-Based Education of Thomas and Richard Pring, with an investigative teaching that favors the occurrence of a significant acquisition of concepts. The optimization of the didactic design of the experimental activity is supported by the theoretical support of Design-Based Research (DBR). The research is characterized by a mixed approach, of the multiphase type, with a qualitative emphasis, and is based on the Grounded Theory of Data combining the focus group interview method (MAXQDA20 software) and performance evaluation (Classical Test Theory as an analysis procedure). ). The construction of the instrument called Basic Concepts of Current, Resistance and Voltage (CBCRT - FRACTAL) comes from the compilation of two tests known in the literature, with three original pertinent items being constructed. The test was classified as difficult and a moderate consistency was obtained (α=0.61). The difficulties in remembering the concept of direct current electric circuit (y9, y17), understanding parallel association (y4), understanding the concept of resistance (y16, y18), and the behavior of electric current (y11), especially in series circuit operation (y3). The educational product generated is a guidance manual integrated into an online platform for interaction between teachers in the implementation of the re-design proposal, containing complementary information to support and the possibility of sharing evidence of performance and good practices.
