Resumo
This article reports the routine of eighth grade students, class 1, in drawing activities at the Professor José Ribamar da Costa State School, Manaus-AM, as well as the poetics of their creations and all the processes used by them in the paths traveled until the end result. The expressive power of drawing at school is used as a means of communication by some students who choose to use this resource to express their ideas and thoughts. Often, these creations report feelings that reflect a poetics full of fascinating sensations, in some cases somber, and which are the result of their experiences. For the arts, school is a space in which the teaching-learning process takes place through expression. Drawing has much to contribute to student transformation and education. This one cannot give up on his project, simply because he thinks he does not have enough capacity to complete it with the same level of perfection as the model that was presented to him. The most significant learnings are the result of a set of mistakes and successes that make us capable of overcoming the obstacles faced along the way. An update of the way drawing is seen in school is needed. This is one of the greatest challenges for the arts education professional. In addition to portraying the culture of different countries, drawing at school represents much more than the student's expression, it generates images that speak and carry the message of those who call for the visibility of their values and problems.
