Trabalho infantil no distrito de Cacau Pirêra- uma análise do Programa de Erradicação do Trabalho infantil - PETI

Abstract

The study aims to examine the educational actions of the programme for the eradication of child labor-PETI performed together at children and adolescents, as well as the families who are part of the program. The PETI is a Federal Government program and aims to eradicate all forms of work by children and adolescents under the age of 16 years and ensure that attend school and educational activities. For this, used as investigative path both the qualitative approach in which the researcher can establish a dynamic relationship with its object of study, which is always a participant conduct, through observation, as the quantitative by fact in support also in quantifiable data. The survey was conducted with the Secretary of Social Welfare, the municipality of Iranduba, Coordinator of the PETI, cocoa Pirêra, monitors, tutelary counselor and families that are part of the program, discussed in the period November 2011, based on semi-structured interviews, through forms containing open and closed questions. There is also a review of the literature specifies on the topic. The data collected through field research, and analyzed in light of the theories assumed allow achieving the proposed objectives. As general purpose sought to verify the PETI and its educational actions developed with children and adolescents and their families in the District of Cocoa Pirêra, municipality of Iranduba, in the period from 2010 to 2011. Worked three specific goals in order to respond to the questions of the general objective. See how living families of children of PETI, from observation and questions asked the six women interviewed for being the responsible children and adolescents entered into PETI-in their homes; know the process of implementation and operationalization of the PETI from professionals who work in the program, allowing for greater knowledge about the implementation of the program in cocoa Pirêra; characterize compared to socio-educational problems of children and adolescents before implementation of the PETI and at present with the implementation of the programme, from that goal might see the development of juvenile quota in school, even with all the problems of lack of structure where is located the headquarters of the programme; analyze the level of family participation during educational actions it was found that some of the six women participate in meetings, lectures, but with regard to courses offered by the PETI participation is smaller. There is a greater involvement of families in participating in courses offered. However it takes more investment in professional training courses for the family group may be prepared to enter and remain on the market and thus ensure the survival of the family.
