Desenvolvimento econômico e redução das desigualdades regionais: necessidade de diversificação econômica do Estado do Amazonas para além do Polo Industrial

Abstract

The current research does a historical rescue of the marginalization process and regional inequalities present in the economic cycles of the State of Amazonas since the colonization to, afterwards, highlight the brazilian government’s actions to establish the development in the amazon region aiming to concretize the republican constitutional objectives. In this context is inserted the creation of the Manaus Free Trade Zone, with the establishment of its Industrial Pole, as a developing measure adopted by the central Government in the regional field. However, such a development model focuses on the amazon capital, having economic potentialities underexplored of the State of Amazonas and the necessity to mitigate the state’s dependence as for the Manaus’ Industrial Pole. Being so, we utilize the concepts of cooperative federalism, deliberative democracy and logospirataria, to trace the premises which lead the research, observing the need for an economic development planning with strong bases and effective combat towards regional inequalities. Therefore, the research’s main goal consists of analyzing and proposing economical alternatives for the Amazon State complementary to the PIM, in order to promote sustainable regional economic development, democratic and non-logospirata. To do this, it is sought to verify normative force for the inserted goal at the Republic Constitution, aiming to decrease the State of Amazonas’ dependence as for the Manaus’ Industrial Pole, not forgetting the need for a democratic construction of the plans for sustainable development and fight against logospirataria. In this bias, it was established that sustainable forest handling is a viable alternative for the economic diversification in the state level and promotion of the development constitutional goals and mitigation of the regional inequalities. The method to be utilized during the work is inductive, making use of the quali-quantitative paradigm and the bibliographic and documental procedure.
