Produção da moradia social na cidade de Parintins-Am: da COHAB-AM ao Minha Casa Minha Vida – 1969 a 2017

Abstract

This dissertation sought to understand the production of social housing built by the state's public policies in the city of Parintins (AM) from 1969 to 2017, in partnership with the National Housing Bank (BNH) and the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program (PMCMV ), observing the logic that guides the relations between the processes of construction, financing and concession to the beneficiaries in the production of the urban space and the reproduction of capital. In this sense, the hypothesis is added to the fact that society produces its space and the time in which it guarantees reproduction to satisfy its needs and capital. This process is local, regional and national and is constituted as a totality, being the result of the action of various social subjects that aggregate strategies and self interests. The production of the housing complexes Vitória Régia, Macurany, João Novo, Vila Cristina and Parintins was also identified, which go through several stages and consolidate with the reproduction of the capital expanded in the production of the city, which incorporates rural areas in urban areas. It is considered that the field data are well articulated to the authors who discuss the theme of the production of the city. According to the analyzes carried out, the projects built and under construction in Parintins have not been able to produce social housing or solve the land-property issue. Although the analysis is only directed to the question of housing in the city of Parintins, it can be maintained that the production of social housing in the cities of the interior of the Amazon is part of the process of expanded reproduction of the capitalist system, according to different authors who deal with unequal and combined production of urban space.
