Resumo

Throughout its history, professional education in Brazil has been marked by the separation of manual and intellectual work, dating back to the beginning of the 20th century, with the creation of Schools of Apprentice Craftsmen. In the XXI century, the expansion and internalization of the Federal Network of Professional and Technological Education of FIs, in the period 2003-2015, represents an important public policy of access to quality public education. Discussions since 2003 to overcome the dichotomy between technical and propaedeutic education have been successful with the change in legislation through Decree no. 5,154 / 04, which instituted integrated technical education for secondary education. From then on, the technical courses integrated to secondary school occupied the centrality in the process of expansion of the Federal Network, being pointed out as a guarantee of employability for the young. This thesis, integrated with the Graduate Program in Society and Culture of the Amazon, has an interdisciplinary perspective, it is proposed to discuss the results of the technical training integrated to the high school of the Campus Boa Vista, through the employability of the graduates of the integrated technical courses to the high school of the IFRR (Electronics, Eletrotechnics, Informatics, Buildings and Secretariat), Campus Boa Vista, conceived with emphasis on the skills and abilities model, influenced by Human Capital Theory. Did the technical training guarantee the employability of the graduates? In order to answer this question, it was decided to privilege the voices of the graduates from 2010 to 2014, who completed the integrated technical course between 2014 and 2016. The reflections were theoretically provided in official documents and researchers such as Mandel (1980) (2005), Ramos (2011), Cunha (1977, 2000), Ciavatta (2005), Frigotto (1999, 2001, 2003), Saviani (2005), among others. In the delineation of the qualitative research, the following procedures were defined for the empirical basis: analysis of official documents (national and institutional), interviews and form for the graduates. The secondary data were provided by the Campus Boa Vista Campus Registration Coordination, research locus. The revelations of the graduates, regarding the employability, proved that the qualification as a guarantee of employment, is not always carried out.
