Prospecção da cadeia das fibras amazônicas: manutenção ou extinção?

Abstract

The research sought to investigate and understand some relationships that organize and guide the Prospecting of the Juta and Malva Productive Chain in order to obtain information that helps in the search for a conclusion regarding the identification of necessary measures that support its maintenance or the conclusion that it walks for extinction in the Amazon. We used prospective scenarios to prospect the productive chain of jute and mallow, with application in the State of Amazonas. The research has immersed in several technological platforms in search of records and protection of technological innovations, as well as the use of the Delphi method that seeks to clarify and deepen issues in an environment of agreement and disagreements, as well as consensus. The technique seeks to obtain data with exploratory research approach through structured questionnaires, applied to the specialists intensively and interspersed in several rounds. It is a bibliographical study, carried out with materials published in books, magazines, electronic networks, etc., of primary and secondary sources, in the various interlocutions that the subject demands, since it transits between the survey of the Productive Chain, traversing initially the historical factors of the inheritance that the North Region acquired with the advent of Culture transmitted by the Japanese from 1920 to the present day. In addition, field research was carried out, involving the participation of several professionals and people involved in the activity of Jutífera in Amazonas. The results demonstrate and present significant contributions, such as the need for research for the improvement of new species, implementation of the descortication machine, prioritization of technical assistance, production and availability of seeds in Amazonas and promotion of production. Finally, it is concluded that this is an activity of high socioeconomic relevance, since it is one of the main sources of employment and income of those who populate the floodplains of the Amazon.
