Abstract

This project presented here aims to work with the popular urban experiences in Manaus during the 1940s. City suffered major impacts in the economic, social and cultural development during the course of World War II. This period also permeates the New State of Getúlio Vargas and also called the Battle of Rubber . This work focuses on new perspectives to narrate these important historical facts about investigating various angles the city, its contradictions and conflicts in the capital of Amazonas during and after the World War
