O ambiente como expressão da questão social e campo interventivo do serviço social: sustentabilidade, resiliência instrumentalidade na cidade de Manaus / AM

Abstract

The object of this dissertation is one of the major challenges that Social Work has been facing in its interventional field. That is the professional intervention, based on the critical perception of deleterious model for natural resources exploitation in the framework of capitalist way of production, as an expression of typical contradictions of this system, impacting the professional attitude within the socio-techno division of work. This approach aims at revealing the resilience between sustainability and instrumentality, having as analytic parameter the environment since it is one of the social expressions of the social matter and as it is the interventional field of Social Work. The key concepts were articulated in the dynamics of processuality, with data collected through the sample survey in the field, which was conducted with fifty guys who play professional activities as Professional Social Work in socio-occupational areas, the affluent of the Basin learners - BH /IE and allowed to reflect the light of critical social theory on resilience in social work, supported by a bibliographic, documentary and cartographic review, to deepen the form and content of the analytical categories of research: sustainability, resilience and instrumentality. In Social Work the resilience is manifested in the midst of the structured contradiction from the polarity between antagonistic social projects within the profession for the Social Work Ethical Political Project and professional conservatism. It was intended to contribute to the plural debate regarding the theoretical and methodological elements that envelop everyday social relations, in which Social Work professionals are daily instigated to practice the resilience between sustainability and instrumentality while facing social matters and as they are challenged to present professional compatible answers to with the social demands required by the Amazonian population while uncovering the environmental dimension through their professional instrumentality.
