Características estruturais do português marúbo: uma análise a partir de construções em textos escritos

Abstract

This research had as main purpose to investigate structural aspects of the Marúbo Portuguese that is part of the area of study that has come to be called Indigenous Portuguese. The specific purposes were to present a historical contextualization of the Marúbo people and some aspects of their culture and their current context, as well as to contrast aspects of the Marúbo Language with the Portuguese Language from the analyzed data of 73 texts written by Marúbo college students, based on the Portuguese Language and on the spoken/written variations in Alto Solimões (AM), in order to highlight the influence of L1 on L2. The motivation was due to the existence of few descriptive studies of the Marúbo language in Vale do Javari and my personal relationship with the region. This research aimed to develop a study focused on Descriptive Linguistics, highlighting the Indigenous Portuguese represented by 18 Marúbo college students from Vale do Javari of the Indigenous Intercultural Pedagogy course PARFOR/UEA in Atalaia do Norte (AM). The theoretical contribution was based mainly on: Amado (2015), Bonifácio (2019), Braggio (2015), Cagliari (2002), Calvet (2002 [1993]), Cesarino (2008), Cordeiro (2018), Corder (1967, 1975), Corrêa (1980), Costa (1992, 2000), Cruz (2004), Dryer (2006), Erikson (1992), Fernández (2011), Kennel Jr. (1978), Labov (2008 [1972] ), Lyons (1981, 1987), Maia (2012, 2018), Martins (2010, 2013, 2017, 2020), Mattoso Câmara (1992), Melatti and Melatti (2005 [1975]), Merinero (2006), Monserrat ( 1994), Peixoto (2020), Perini (2005, 2019), Santos (2011), Simas and Lucchesi (2020) and Welper (2009). The research method was the descriptivist, which allows analyzing and explaining phenomena from a collection of data. The possible impacts of this research are to present a characterization of the Marúbo Portuguese that can serve to produce subsidies for specific researches and for the creation of specific material. The results revealed the existence of a transfer from L1 to L2, as well as the influence of the variety of spoken/written Portuguese in Alto Solimões on the written Portuguese of the Marúbo college students. The data that demonstrate this evidence are important because they characterize the Marúbo Portuguese.
