Resumo
The aim of this study was to understand the process of territorialization of the communities located in the environment lacruste Solimões - Amazonas complex, considering the main agricultural practices and fishing and its impact on the organization of smallholder farmers living Janauacá lake located municipalities Manaquiri and Careiro - AM. These locations in the past dominated the production of cassava flour and starch making, which dominated the regional market until the 1980, currently dominated by agriculture and fishing mapará. Even with the conflicts between these two distinct productions and consequently loss of interest in the farm, starch production and the return of flour production, riparian farmers still maintain their traditional way of life despite the market strategies, remain in because of the emotional bond that residents have with this environment, since many of them, especially the older ones, were responsible for the formation of these communities, planting gardens, fishing. However, newer migrants and residents, without that emotional bond, began the process of changing historical relations. Communities live between rupture and adaptation. In the past, flour and starch, today mainly fishing for mapará. Thus, we reflect on the transformations occurring in this territory since the war of the fish until the resumption of production of flour and the rise of other cultures.
