Do 'Criação' ao 'Bem Viver': metamorfoses do Caderno de Cultura do Jornal A Crítica

Abstract

This paper reflects on the role of Creation and Well-being cultural notebooks of the newspaper A Crítica, born on April 19, 1949 and currently 68 years old. It verifies the metamorphosis of cultural journalism in both books. Note how the exercise and representativeness of cultural journalism changes from the Creation notebook to present times with the Bem Viver notebook. For this, it reflects from the spheres of culture, from the classic to the contemporary, from the definition of journalism, and cultural journalism. As well as on the role and importance of the critic in the composition of the activity of cultural journalism. It verifies whether and how the local culture is represented to the detriment of the exogenous culture. The research is anchored in cultural concepts from the perspective of Raymond Williams (1979) and Terry Eagleton (2003), journalism as knowledge (Adelmo Genro Filho, 1987), cultural journalism based mainly on José Salvador Faro (2006), Daniel Piza (2013) and Franthiesco Ballerini (2015), which bases all the categories of cultural journalism in this research, namely: literature, visual arts, music, cinema, theater, fashion, games and internet, among other universes that usually constitute the Reality of contemporary society. As a method was used the Documentary Analysis, applied in two corpus, the first being the Creation notebook, counting a total of 242 newspapers; And the second, the Bem Viver notebook, circulated from the beginning of the 2000s until today, analyzed the period from April to September 2016. Thus, the northern part of the research is the Communication Ecosystems, a concentration area of the Postgraduate Science Program Communication. Therefore, the research seeks to understand this phenomenon of the communicational process within the complexity that presupposes it, which means to cover the various spheres that influence, modify and construct the cultural journalism produced by these notebooks. The conclusions point to the fact that Creation and Wellbeing perform cultural journalism in different ways. The Creation, circulated in the 90's, shows itself as a space open to reflection, critical about the cultural productions of its time. Bem Viver is shown with a production of contemporary cultural journalism, focusing on the marketing process. This differentiation also reflects in journalism as knowledge, demonstrating that Creation is encouraged to this practice, while Good Living the news journalistic approach of the guidelines is supported, as a matter of priority, by recent releases of the marketing process or other events related to the present time, limiting The scope of appreciation of legitimate cultural journalism as a practical and intellectual activity.
