Armário de lembranças em cabeça de menina: a reinvenção da infância na lírica de Astrid Cabral

Abstract

The research aims to investigate the lyrical universe of the Amazonian poet Astrid Cabral, regarding the reinvention of childhood. The corpus of analysis materializes in selectedpoems from two of her books used as a sample: Visgo da terra (2005) and childhood in fringes (2014), considering that, in these two works, the lyrical self is the woman who revisits the girl she once was. The research problems that guided the work were outlined as follows: what linguistic and literary strategies. Does Astrid Cabral use, in her poems, to reinvent childhood flagrants? Which metaphors of the poet express this reinvention? The search for answers to the problems posed is immersed in the Astridian poetic discourse of feminine diction, in which sometimes the girl's voice is heard, sometimes the woman's voice, since the woman and the girl are often meeting again, in intense dialogues. Childhood memories are eternalized in poems full of disquiet, echoes of the past, discontent and of criticality, which makes the look at childhood always have a revisionist in relation to the past and the present. The basis for the investigations with the following theoretical contributions: reflections on topoanalysis and the poetics of space, as defined by Bachelard (2008); intertextuality and parody discourse, based on in Samovault (2008) and Sant'Anna (2001); metaphor as a linguistic mechanism and aesthetic of recreating reality, having as starting points the considerations of Marcuschi (2000), Lopes (1986) Sardinha (2007) and Lakoff and Johnson (2002). The search followed three guiding axes: Astrid Cabral (the poet), childhood (the subject) and the multifaceted (the research procedure), and seeks to show that the poet breaks the Cartesian logic that society usually imprints on discourses about childhood, contrasting a bitter irony to the usual romantic view of the universe childish. With this, Astrid Cabral poetizes the burdens and bonuses of being a child, especially of being a girl, in a world of silencing and repression of the female figure.
