“Mulheres Kumirãyõma”: uma etnografia da criação da Associação de Mulheres Yanonami

Abstract

This dissertation is result of an ethnographic project about the process of the creation of theYanonami Women Kumirãyõma Association. The research sought to drecribe the constitution of the Kumirãyõma AMY analyzing the gender relations starting of actuations of men and women through of the two associations that composes the Yanonami policy from Maturacá region, demonstrating how male and female agencies are positioned and intensify their differences in the field of the social, policy and ritualistic relations. In this project, the ethnopolitical and interethnic context of the Yanonami from Maturacá is analyzed to understend how the women expanded their space of participation and consolidated their actuations in the articulation with the indigenous and indigenist policy.
