Representações sociais de ribeirinhos sobre o acesso aos serviços de saúde, Comunidade Rural Vila de Urucurituba, Autazes - Amazonas

Abstract

The aim of the study was to analyze the social representations of bordering on access to health services. The study was a descriptive, qualitative, based on the Theory of Social Representations, conducted with 18 residents of the Community Rural Village Urucurituba, the municipality of Autazes, State of Amazonas, in the year 2012. Technique was used semi-structured interviews using a script and information produced were treated for content analysis and organized into three chronological poles: Pre-analysis, material exploration and processing of the results, inference and interpretation. The analysis was based on the method of thematic content analysis and considered the categories: network of health care, human resources, material resources and consumer reference and counter-reference. We identified the following symbolic images: access to health services of the rural community is incipient and ineffective, with misfit between the provision of basic services and specialized health and pent-up demand, deficiency in basic pharmaceutical care and essential precariousness and lack of system reference and counter-reference. There are problems of administrative management of the network of health care that hinder accessibility to health services.
