Parintinização: os fluxos culturais do Wãnkõ Kaçaueré em festas populares da Amazônia

Resumo

This thesis is an ethnographic work about the cultural flows of dance groups in the Amazon, based on the genesis of Wãnkõ Kaçaueré, by understanding that this dance group is the product of the process of parintinization inserted in popular festivals. The field research was carried out in several places and cities, more specifically in Manaus (AM), Parintins (AM), Nova Olinda do Norte (AM) and Santarém (PA). The contact with this universe allowed the reflection on several networks of specialties and knowledge for the production of allegories, fantasies, dances, choreography and performing arts that engender the dynamics of cultural flows at the local, regional and national level. Faced with this social configuration constituted by parintinization, artists started to specialize in various production techniques, creating multiple collective identities, building alliances, operating in hierarchical spaces, aiming for professional recognition and dialoguing in different instances of power. The entities that hire these artists directly depend on the resources made available by the city hall, the state and private companies, so certain agents suffer social dramas, deal with bureaucratic issues, establish agreements and adopt a stance of silences.
