Resumo
Discourse is an inexhaustible source of meanings operating in the representation of the ideas of society. Its dynamism is the reflection of society in interaction with the world of things and people at an ever faster pace. Constantly discourses are reconfigured and updated in order to reflect social development and discourse analysis stands as a possibility of understanding the relations of the senses between discourses. In analyzing it, one analyzes the senses in the world, but also how their constitution was possible in society. Political discourse is the discourse of power, truth and the subject forexcellence. It is the discourse that form us subjects in a constant interaction with power and truth. The two elements determine how social relations are arranged. Power shows itself, acts in the regulations and organization of the world, subjecting the Truth is the shared element of man's creation. Result of power. The meeting of these three elements composes the political discourse. A speech that never shows itself completely, is always opaque. A speech that shows and hides at the same time.
The understanding of the political discourse in this work and its respective formation are based on the philosophers Michel Foucault, Hanna Arendt and Jean-Paul Sartre that had specific contributions for each analyzed element: power, truth and subjectivity. The analysis took place in the last four inauguration speeches of the Presidency of the Republic of Brazil. The conclusions about the occurrence of these three elements, elucidates the performance of each element in the speeches of possession, whose primary objective is the persuasion of the citizen instance.
