Resumo

Rural Education is understood as a specific area of knowledge that makes up different perspectives of education, based on the principles of dialogue and knowledge construction through the integration and problematization of the reality of life and work that incorporate the daily lives of students and teachers. Thus, the research entitled "Farm Education: challenges and possibilities of education in the Reality Settlement" will seek to analyze the challenges and possibilities of Rural Education in the municipality of Humaitá-AM, specifically, in the Municipal School Vereador Manuel de Oliveira Santos, located in “Realidade” Settlement project, located on BR 319, 100 km away from the Municipality of Humaitá-AM. Therefore, we start from the following problem: how does the school context in Realidade Rural Settlement present itself in the pedagogical, administrative and infrastructure aspects, and its implications in the educational process? To answer it, we listed some guiding questions, which are: What are the public policies aimed at rural education and its implementation in the municipality of Humaitá-AM? How is the educational process carried out in the Realidade Rural Settlement School? Is the infrastructure adequate for the development of teaching activities? Does school management enable the democratic participation of school members? The research aims to analyze the context of education in the Realidade Rural Settlement, emphasizing the pedagogical, administrative and infrastructure aspects and implications for the educational process. Thus, this research has the following specific objectives: 1) To understand the historical process of rural education in Brazil, in the state of Amazonas and in the municipality of Humaitá-AM; 2) Analyze public policies aimed at rural education; 3) Characterize the pedagogical routine developed at Escola do Assentamento Realidade; 4) Register the physical, administrative and pedagogical infrastructure conditions of the school; 5) Identify the school's relationship with the surrounding community. We are relying on the methodological procedures of bibliographic, documental and field research. As a data collection instrument, we will use the semi-structured interview and, later, in carrying out the data analysis we will be based on the Discursive Textual Analysis (ATD) procedure. Thus, this research will be qualitative and will be based on the method of historical materialism.
