The Tambaqui is presented as the second most cultivated species in the country thereby increasing the need for new studies to the recovery of waste generated after processing. The species has unique characteristics, scale fish with rhomboid body in his adulthood has ventral and caudal irregular dark spots, with back in greenish hue, but may vary for lighter or darker depending on the color of the water. Other attributes that should be mentioned is the hardiness to handling, tolerating activities such as biometrics and tolerance environments low in oxygen. Moreover, it is a species that has good results regarding the use of plant proteins by you features, the species provides created conditions conducive to the establishment in confinement. Given this, the present study aimed to contribute to the use of this waste by doing the preparation and characterization of silages using acid mixtures Formic / citric (1: 0.75) propionic acid / formic (3: 1) and Citric / acetic acid ( 1: 6). Silages (SATFC) (SATPF) and (SATCA) showed values (based on dry matter) of 8.20; 7.46 and 7.43 g / 100 g for moisture in dry matter, 45.37; 45.26 and 44.76 g / 100 g for crude protein, 39.22; 40.30 and 39,99g / 100g for lipids, 1.57; 1.11 and 1.19% for calcium, 0.56; And 0.49 to 0.42% phosphorus respectively. The higher values found in the amino acids were 4.78; 4.87 and 4.78g / 100 g para glutamic acid and 3.10; 2.82 and 2.69 g / 100gpara aspartic acid; and among the essential amino acids (EAA) with highest concentrations are lysine (2.40, 2.62 and 2.58 g / 100 g) and leucine (1.90, 2.07 and 1.98 g / 100 g) for SATFC, and SATPF SATCA, respectively. In the storage period, the pH values ranged from 3.82 to 3.54; 4.38 to 4.12 and 4.57 to 4.32 for SATFC, and SATPF SATCA, respectively. The amounts of acid values ranged from 0.95 to 2.29; 1.28 to 2.19 and 1.48 to 2.43 for SATFC, SATPF and SATCA respectively. Microbiological analyzes were carried out for a period of 180 days, and found environmental coliforms at time 0 9.1 MPN.g-1 and mesophilic at 0 and 30 days of 2,3x102 and 1x102UFC.g-1 respectively, found only SATCA treatment, other treatments showed no proliferation in any of the periods analyzed. Acid silage of tambaqui waste presented physicochemical quality, microbiological and nutritional for use in animal feed.
