Entre banzeiros do Rio Negro: os saberes socioculturais no contexto da Educação Física escolar ribeirinha

Resumo

This dissertation aims to bring a critical and investigative reflection on the traditional sociocultural knowledge of the riverside and its relationship with Physical Education classes in rural riverside schools. Faced with all the challenges that surround Rural Education and Riverside Education within the Amazon, aiming at a quality education that offers decent study conditions for the traditional riverside people, we address our research problem: How the process of construction of riparian sociocultural knowledge in Physical Education classes in schools in the Rio Negro region - Manaus/AM? Based on the central issue, this study aims to analyze the processes of construction of sociocultural knowledge in riverside schools located in the Rio Negro region - Manaus/AM. The study was based on authors discussing the issue of Riverside Education in the Amazon, sociocultural practices and School Physical Education, in addition to the documental basis such as the Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education - LDB, Common National Curriculum Base - BNCC and Municipal School Curriculum of the City of Manaus. The methodology adopted in this study was of a qualitative nature, where the field research was divided into two stages to search for data collection: participant observation in Physical Education classes in a riverside school in the Agrovila Community – Rio Negro/Manaus, and in the semi-structured interview with nine subjects who are Physical Education teachers from the riverside area of Rio Negro, Manaus/AM. Thus, it was possible to verify that sociocultural knowledge is present in the reality of Physical Education classes in riverside schools surveyed directly and indirectly. Public educational policies of curriculum adequacy are necessary that in fact focus on the traditional sociocultural knowledge of the riverside and that is focused in a participatory and valuing way for this knowledge, where Physical Education in School acts in a way linked to this knowledge and the knowledge produced in this curricular component. The results obtained also point to the need for adequate physical structure and teaching materials, in addition to continuing education that actually involves school Physical Education in the riverside environment and local sociocultural knowledge. Thus, we will be able to advance in the fight for quality education in the Amazon, linking to the scientific knowledge of Physical Education in this region.
