Resumo
Innovation of new materials and construction systems require sophisticated and rational solutions of structures designers. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to contribute to the optimization of procedure for buildings cover design within a new design project concept, metallic structure covering, with pre-tensioned steel bars, and plastic tiles made of politerephthalate ethylene waste (PET). Its application in buildings used at first only a constructive way gable, subject to normal requests, in shell behavior. This work presents a new geometric arrangement of coverage where the metal structure works as gantry and steel bars, in support of the tiles, submitted to a tractive effort, as well as a conducted study in order to verify the offsets for certain vains subject to the same charge used in toppings. The analysis and verification of performance and behavior of the roof structure, based on this new model, are made using results from experimental simulations and numerical analysis, employing a modeling of the structure using ANSYS software version 12.0. Subsequently, they are checked the ultimate limit state (ULS) and service (ELS) as a result of active efforts. The results show that the theoretical predictions, obtained by linear analysis as well as the values obtained through experimental measurements, suggested to consider the coverage model as hybrid, we mean, not rigid nor flexible, proving that the numerical modeling were satisfactory during the simulation coverage of behavior.
