Resumo

Of all the species of the animal kingdom, there is not one other than humans, to represent and interpret what humans do, develop, behave, and act. Before the reflection made by Norbert Elias, it is verified that the Festival of Theater of the Amazon - FTA is realized by individuals - (men and women) for other individuals. This is a role that the FTA plays and sustains. He has to understand the primary premise: the one he represents is, first of all, from the perspective of the figurative sociology of Norbert Elias (1980), a social individual. Since representing. Awakening, stimulating the trio of emotions (Elias and Dunning, 1992), love, hate, fear through drama, comedy and other scenic languages used in theatrical productions staged on the FTA. The Festival is characterized not only by artistic presentations but also by the cultural exchange between the local theater makers, for its character of training through workshops and debates about the shows involving artists, producers, the public and, most importantly, the involvement of the entire community. The research aims to make a study about the Festival of Theater of the Amazon - FTA, based on its practices and representations, highlighting how power is represented within these practices. Search through bibliographical and documentary research, relate the editions of the Festival, from 2004 to 2016, and verify the relations of interdependence established in the process of organization and production of the event, as well as analyze the configuration of the participating groups, actors, directors and professionals of the performing arts regarding the social relations of the individuals involved in the Festival, not only as organized civil society, but also the participation of the State as the financial provider in the realization. DUNNING (1992) reveals, that configuration "refers to the web of relationships of interdependent individuals that are connected to each other at various levels and in various ways." It is precisely from the relationship between these people that ELIAS (1980) develops the concept of power, relating it to the interdependence between people. The power for Elias, then "constitutes an integral element of all human relations." ELIAS (1980) notes that the concept of configuration can be applied to societies formed by an infinite number of people as well as to relatively small groups. However, the author explains that the larger the configuration the greater the links between those present. In this sense, thinking about the FTA is to understand the figuration that constitutes it and the great network that can reach.
