Resumo

The study on African foreign mobility in Manaus makes it possible to observe a new physiognomy and aesthetics that is incorporated into the rhythms of the Amazonian city. It is composed of a set of relationships and alterities that are slowly being incorporated into the more traditional lifestyles. All this, despite the timid presence of Africans in relation to the arrival, for example of the Haitians in 2010 and more recently of the Venezuelans in 2017. It is also a question of analyzing the perception of the residents of the city of Manaus (M.M) regarding Africans, with a focus on university students, and the kind of alterity built between them and that society. In other words, the research aims to investigate the diverse concepts of foreigners that present the M.M; understand the references that constitute the relations of alterity between the M.M and, in particular the African students of UFAM; as well as to investigate the preconceptions or racist aspects about the black and the blacks that the M.M discourses present. Aspects all, which in some sense are linked to other historical processes in colonial and postcolonial contexts.
