Resumo
According to the Ministry of Tourism, tourism in Brazil has evolved substantially in recent years. The sector received funding of R $ 13.5 billion in federal institutions, which helped to develop the key segments of the industry and therefore boost the economy of many regions. However, this reality is the result of drawn plans and developed the logo of years by institutions linked directly to activity, but it was realized that these actions have not been effective enough to involve all the people who use tourism as a means of survival, as It showed the existence of people selling products and services in informal character, that is, unrelated to the management institutions activity and probably without the commitment to the planning layout for activity. Within this context, this study aims to analyze the environmental aspect, social and economic sustainability, proposed by the Ministry of Tourism present or not these informal tourist services existing in the city of Manaus / AM. For it was necessary to conduct a field survey of this target audience, trying to describe the existing services, the characteristics and actions undertaken by informal agents in the process of marketing and performance of these services. Data collection was carried out in the urban area of the city of Manaus and within the itineraries marketed by informal agents, so that the study could enable a reflection on the need to plan tourism as a means of regional development from strengthening relationships of all involved enabling favoring sustainable development.
