Resumo
This research aimed to analyze the representations assigned to sexuality by teachers / and the
student, working in a public school classroom in the city of Parintins- AM , reflecting on the
Curriculum National Parameter - Cross : Sexual Orientation . By understanding that sexuality
is inherent in the human condition and accompanies us everywhere , the school is presented as
an institutional sphere of development that mediates scientific knowledge and common sense
promoting social change and horizontalizing topics such as sexuality in a systematic way ,
based by scientific knowledge. It became the general objective : To analyze representations of
students and high school teachers of Parintins -AM school about sexuality at school. Specific
objectives : to know who are the actors involved in the school context ; characterize
representations of students and teachers about the sexuality of visibility of the process in the
target schools; analyze sexuality representations in the school context studied. Adopted the
vision of man proposed by Vygotsky (2007), which deals with human development from
socio-historical assumptions. Therefore, this study is organized in three (03) chapters. In the
first chapter, we present a theoretical foundation of the themes Sexuality, Education and the
National Curriculum Parameters (PCNs) - Sexual Orientation, highlighting the relationship
between them. In the second chapter we will highlight the methodological path followed for
the purposes of research, which was carried out with twenty-six (26) students-eight (08)
teachers who expressed and nodded participation in research as well as the authorization of
their parents, where they needed. All participants were part of the high school program at a
state school in the city of Parintins. The research sets up qualitative and quantitative
techniques used in this study as literature, observation and his record in the field diaries and
questionnaire. The closed questions of the questionnaire were tabulated in Excel, transformed
into pie charts and analyzed qualitatively, to display a whole. Open questions suffer
transcribed , with adjustments to the Portuguese mistakes, being used in the discussion of the
data. Finally , in the third chapter , we point and describe the search results , which indicate
that it is necessary to know the representations produced in the school to promote education
with higher quality and dignity , by strengthening the universal values of respect for human
beings , combating forms of prejudice and discrimination , enabling the formation of
individuals who can contribute to a better world through critical reflection on issues beyond
the disciplines regarded as mandatory.
