Poética do construir: Agroufam no caminho da sustentabilidade

Abstract

Based on the environmental perception of the lived world and valuing its cultural aspects, as well as the protagonism of traditional populations in shaping a local identity, this thesis aimed to develop an architectural design experience for a construction project. The approach was grounded in phenomenological thought, incorporating practical activities and concepts of vernacular architecture, permaculture, and bioconstruction. We thus developed a conceptual project for the Agroecological Fair of UFAM - Federal University of Amazonas, named Agroufam, in order to demonstrate the practical application of theories and constructive techniques through an architectural object. We refer to this thesis as "Poetics of Building: Agroufam on the Path to Sustainability." Throughout it, the experiences and insights that contributed to the project's development will be presented, alongside the conceptual foundations explored and their respective authors. Furthermore, the proposed design solutions for the realization of the concept will be outlined. The proposal aimed to demonstrate the relevance of knowledge in sustainable construction techniques, integrating theory and practice as principles of sustainability applied to building construction. These principles encompass: creating integrated sustainable spaces, generating renewable energies, optimizing water usage through capture and storage, ecologically treating and managing wastewater, recycling and reusing materials and solid waste, producing food and promoting food sovereignty through permaculture and agroecological processes, as well as fostering environmental and cultural awareness. From the perspective of phenomenology, architecture, and poetics, we seek to establish a visceral relationship between humans and the world through construction. The goal is to consider dwelling not merely as living, but as existing, with the starting point being the fusion of sustainable development, architecture, and poetic construction. The envisioned result is the conceptual project of Agroufam.
