Resumo
In contemporary times, we have witnessed the dissemination of a large amount of information through media, such as: newspapers, magazines, books, radio, television, cinema and the internet. Thus, it is relevant to work, in educational institutions, the development of skills such as reading, writing and interpreting information from these media, to the point that criticisms and inferences about them are made. For the development of these skills, it is necessary for educators to provide more attractive classes that demonstrate the importance of studying with mathematical and statistical knowledge, aiming at a more critical view of their students and overcoming a mechanical and memorable teaching and learning process. The aim of this study was to understand the levels of statistical literacy from the mobilization of mathematical and statistical knowledge requested in interdisciplinary didactic sequences. For this, the theoretical and methodological references used were the Theory of Didactic Situations proposed by Guy Brousseau, Didactic Engineering described by Michelè Artigue, the levels of graphic reading based on Curcio’s conceptions and the concept of statistical literacy proposed by Iddo Gal. Three web conferences were held using Google Meet with which a sequence of activities was developed, including research, readings and graphic interpretations. Data collection occurered through audio recordings of the researcher’s dialogues with the participants during the meetings. The participants were students and professors from the Language course, from the Institute of Education, Agriculture and Environment (IEAA), from the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM). With the development of the research, it was observed the mobilization of mathematical and statistical knowledge from the experimentation of adidactic phases, analysis of strategies and errors; identification of graphic reading levels; and statistical literacy skills and abilities. It was also noted the importance of statistical literacy, showing itself to be a tool for the development of interdisciplinarity, promoting a critical, qualified and meaningful education, being able to conduct methodologies that have the teaching and learning process based on scientific research environments. Consequently, the participants felt motivated to seek information, acquire new skills, change behaviors, experience new perspectives, build knowledge in a pleasant way through interaction, cooperation, creativity and autonomy.
