Sistema Embarcado de Diagnóstico Veicular Integrado a Ambientes Inteligentes

Resumo

Maintenance aims to keep the vehicle in good working order and avoid unpleasant surprises such as mechanical breakdown and breakdown of components due to damaged parts, increasing damage. Trying to avoid these surprises, this work proposed and developed a system with an architecture composed by embedded device, cloud server and local. This system connects the vehicle to the Ambient Intelligent (AmI) of a home and is able to notify the driver through a device connected to this environment by detecting abnormal vehicle operating parameters. In this way, the driver can anticipate and take appropriate steps not to increase problems and damage. For the design of this system, technological resources used in vehicular networks were used, such as On-Board Diagnostic II (OBD-II). In the AmIs, we observed the concepts and applications focused on the design of a network device called gateway. One of the main contributions of this work was the automatic integration of the vehicle with the home environment that can notify the driver by detecting abnormal vehicle parameters. Thus, vehicles manufactured from 2010 can use our system, which represents in Brazil about 25 million vehicles that connect to their owners. Tests with the system performed on an engine bench at the Thermoscience Laboratory of the Mechanical Engineering course at UFAM. The results showed that the system functioned properly by detecting that the engine coolant temperature sensor was above the normal 100 ° Celsius parameter. After data is transmitted from the embedded device to the cloud server and then to the home AmI, the detected abnormal parameter is collected and the home AmI sends a notification to the driver's smartphone via a message app informing the temperature and the time of detection.
