Resumo
The foreign trade through exports, representing one of the most important instruments of regional development and the identification of the pattern of export specialization in an economy, reveals to some extent, the technological potential of
the same, allowing the establishment of policies and other actions necessary for economic growth, a fundamental condition of social development. Thus, the objective of this research is to analyze the foreign trade of the Amazon, considering the
inclusion of exports in world markets, the main tool of this analysis to determine the pattern of specialization for the period involved in the study. In order to measure the skills and the integration of Amazon exportable products in foreign markets, the index is calculated Revealed Symmetric Comparative Advantage - VCRs and Trade Balance - SC. The choice of these two indicators aimed at a more complete analysis of the data export and import of a particular area. The VCR is the level of specialization SC sets up a bias of imports of the site analyzed. In this study we could verify what was the highlight of the primary sector exports and manufactures, in breakdown indicates the electronics sector as the most dynamic. But even if the rates
of VCRs show comparative advantage for this sector, it presents indices of CS negative, ie, low contribution to the balance of local business. This phenomenon is related to the fact that many electronic products exported and imported inputs that
are used in its own production, featuring an importing economy, noting that the ZFM, in his view, was inserted in a context of public policy development, and therefore had the character of the area for import.
