Abstract

Technological innovation is used by large organizations as a support tool for leadership and positions on the world market. In this context, it is necessary to keep constantly updated with new trends. Therefore, it is essential that a company keep searching process for knowledge through research and development of processes and products. This research presents as the object of study case of the Nokia Institute of Technology, an Research & Development center located in the PIM, which is able to support the demands originally from Nokia company, its founder and other local, national and international needs. Note also that its creation was supported by effective legal framework, making the challenges found in the city of Manaus, geographically place at the expense of other research centers in Brazil. However, the applicability of actions that can settle the research and development of culture in the country facilitate their performance, and brings benefits to the domestic industry with respect to labor, skilled labor, improvements in project deployment, scientific articles and publications national and international projection. It is this bias that this study is intended as a reference for other technological plans to prospecting for other development centers in the country, and thus contribute to the quality of scientific research in the ZFM.
