Efeito de diferentes condições do tratamento térmico T6 na microestrutura e propriedades mecânicas da liga de alumínio A356 visando a utilização em motocicletas

Resumo

This research presents the results obtained from the experiment of different times for thermal treatment T6 (Solubilization and Artificial Aging) for aluminum alloy A356, processed in the industrial plane of a two-wheel company, installed in the Industrial Pole of Manaus. The samples were cast by gravity permanent mold (GDC) process and industrial ovens for T6 were used in the experiment. Two heat treatment conditions were used with a total time of 12h and 7h, comparing the results with the alloy without heat treatment. The effects on the reduction of the treatment time on the mechanical behavior were evaluated, through hardness, Charpy, Traction tests, morphological analysis of fractures and microstructural behavior through optical microscopy, SEM/EDS, measurement of the evolution of the Si-eutectic, XRD. Excellent mechanical properties were achieved with a short treatment of 7h, with a yield strength of 226.58 (±3.76) MPa, ultimate tensile strength of 264.78 (±4.27) MPa and elongation of 3.41 (±0.47) %, which is competitive with other cast alloys subjected to T6 heat treatment in longer treatment cycles. The peak of hardness and greater impact resistance was recorded for the sample treated with 12h, however, for the impact test, there were no significant differences between the two experiments.
