Resumo
This Master’s thesis was developed within the Graduate Program in Science and Humanities Teaching (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ensino de Ciências e Humanidades – PPGECH) of the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM) within the scope of the Study and Research Group in Early Childhood Education (Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Educação Infantil –GPEDIN). The research problem arose from the question about the possibility of the cartoon O Show da Luna! be used as a technological resource, associated with concepts and the use of experiments, in order to promote the scientific initiation of children of Early Childhood Education. With the general objective of building didactic sequences for Science Education in the classes of Early Childhood Education of a Municipal Center for Early Childhood Education in the city of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, from the content addressed in the selected episodes of the cartoon O Show da Luna!, it was sought to identify the curriculum guidelines regarding Science Education in Early Childhood Education; to analyze how Science Education is proposed in the planning of the second period classes in the surveyed school; to analyze how Science Education in Early Childhood Education is developed from dialogs produced with educators of an Early Childhood Education institution of the city of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. The research was qualitative and was conducted in a public institution involving the direct participation of four educators. This study was based on works of scholars in the area and in legal documents, from the national, state and municipal level, namely: Referencial Curricular para Educação Infantil – RCNEI (BRASIL, 1998a, 1998b) [Early Childhood Education Curricular Guidelines]; Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para a Educação Infantil – DCNEI (BRASIL, 1999, 2009, 2010) [National Curricular Guidelines for Early Childhood Education]; Base Nacional Comum Curricular – BNCC (BRASIL, 2018) [Common Core State Standards]; Referencial Curricular Amazonense – RCA (AMAZONAS, 2019) [Amazonian Curricular Guidelines]; and Proposta Pedagógico-Curricular de Educação Infantil da Secretaria Municipal de Educação de Manaus (MANAUS,2016) [Pedagogical-Curricular Early Childhood Education Proposal of the Municipal Secretariat of Education of Manaus]. Through the methodological paths adopted in this research, after knowing the educators and the context of the pedagogical work already performed at the Municipal Center for Early Childhood Education, it was obtained as result the moments of sharing the possibility of collective construction of pedagogical didactic planning for Science Education in the classes of Early Childhood Education from the content addressed in the selected episodes of the cartoon O Show da Luna!, through a more comprehensive and more sensitive knowledge to the origins of the subjects involved. The results show that there is still an absence of offer, in the training of Early Childhood Education teachers, in relation to the understanding what Science Education is and how it can favor the development of autonomy, curiosity, child criticism in the construction of scientific knowledge within the school institution using practices that draw children’s attention.
