Couvade Baré: construção de corpo, noção de pessoa e de doença entre os Baré no médio Rio Negro

Abstract

His doctoral thesis aims to study the social relations between the urban Baré of the middle Rio Negro, in the city of Santa Isabel do Rio Negro, based on the couvade system, taking into account its complex system of restrictions and its implications for the construction of the body, the perception of the notion of person and its intrinsic relations with the emic concept of illness. Looking at the relationship between parents/children and between humans/non-humans, we will reflect on the Baré concepts of the body, interacting with anthropological approaches to the body, its fabrication, transformation and the processes of consubstantiality that it implies, making it possible to reflect on this complex cosmosomatic universe that is the Baré couvade.
