A localização da Agenda 2030 nos municípios do Amazonas

Abstract

This study is part of the Atlas SDG Amazonas Project and aimed to develop a framework of indicators for monitoring the 2030 Agenda within Brazilian municipalities with the State of Amazonas as a reference. Therefore, it was necessary to establish baselines and municipal targets for the indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals, so that the distances of the Amazonian municipalities to the targets of the 2030 Agenda could be evaluated. -offs and synergistic relationships between the SDG indicators according to the performance of each city. Data collection from official information was carried out through documental research in digital media, which classifies this study as non-experimental research. A preliminary study was carried out on the feasibility of elaborating the indicators proposed by the United Nations, already adapted to the Brazilian reality by the Institute of Applied Economic Research - IPEA, whose result pointed to the general lack of statistical information in open sources, since 55% of the indicators do not have sufficient bases capable of allowing their development at the municipal level. On the development of 42 indicators, there was a need to adapt the methodology proposed by the IPEA, since the provisions contained in that material primarily address the analysis of actions aimed at the achievement of national targets. The preparation of baselines for each of the indicators developed within the scope of the Atlas ODS Amazonas Project allowed a consistent verification of the sustainable development scenario in Amazonas and this standardization made it possible to analyze the comparability between 62 cities, with the construction of a synthetic framework that has the ambition to serve as a tool in the very complex process of measuring sustainability.
