Resumo
This thesis is entitled “the junine party and educommunication in the Amazonian context: territoriality, culture and non-formal education in the city of Boa Vista-RR”. It deals with the importance of culture as a path to social development. To this end, the general objective was to understand how the structure of the junine party in Boa Vista/RR carries out the process of educating the subjects involved. In view of this, the state of knowledge discusses theses and dissertations about on the junine party, in which it was possible to perceive different approaches to junine culture, but none emphasized non-formal education in an educommunicative context, as proposed in this investigation. The method adopted was phenomenological, looking for possible relationships between junine party and education. The instruments used were interviews and questionnaires applied to those involved in the junine party and dance. The theoretical framework is based on educommunication and its applicability, especially from the perspective of Paulo Freire. The dynamics of territories and territorialities with the interlocution of culture and education are also pointed out, as well as the junine party as one of the cultural skills of the Amazon. The data collected in the field was then analyzed and discussed. To sum up, the results suggest that the junine party in Boa Vista/RR seek to carry out cultural work so that this movement continues to be valued. To this end, the groups carry out social work, raising awareness and supporting their dancers. This is so that the dancers can perform well as citizens and be providers of culture, with prestige and respect from society. Another relevant result is the importance of educommunication in the junine party to open new means of communication, education, and information, thereby generating local development and valuing culture, as well as helping to build a more respectful and empathetic society. Based on the results obtained, it is possible to conclude that the junine party in Boa Vista/RR and the groups are responsible for boosting local and economic development, being environments that contribute to the construction of social values and the education of the dancers, through dialogues between different socio-cultural subjects. Therefore, learning and being informed go beyond the walls of formalized spaces.
