Resumo
The dissertation deals with the valuation policies of teachers in the state public school system in the State of Amazonas. It is related to line 2 - Education, Public Policies and Regional Development. I study development in the Gender, Work and Education Group. It had the general objective of analyzing the policies of valorization of public teaching in the Amazon as the career of the teacher in basic education. To this end, the following specific objectives were established: to identify the elements of the Education Policy that contributed to the valorization of teachers; and to know the trajectory of laws and normative acts that regulate the career of teachers in the state education network of Amazonas, up to the Positions, Career and Compensation Plan for SEDUC / AM servers. The methodology used was materialistic dialectics, we highlight the categories of totality, contradiction and mediation as central, taking into account the historical process followed to arrive at the normative acts that subsidize the process of valuing the teaching profession in Amazonas. The research consisted of documentary and bibliographic analysis, based on national and state legislation, involving technical documents with statistical data, which were collected at the Department of Education and Sport of the State of Amazonas. The dialogue in this research sought in its foundations, to show that the teaching profession is being valued, with its remuneration increased with guarantees existing in the Plan of Positions, Careers and Remuneration of the employees of the State Secretariat of Education and Sport - SEDUC.
