Resumo

In this work a research was carried out on the teaching of Flat Geometry and was created a didactic proposal using Geometric Constructions with ruler, compass, set square and protractor. The objective was articulate the geometric representations and natural language through Geometric Constructions. The research was carried out with eighth grade students of elementary, in a public school of Manaus. The sequence of activities was elaborate based on Raymond Duval’s Theory of Semiotic Representation Records. It used the research methodology Didactic Engineering, which articulates didactic action and research, also provides an organization in the work structure. It was verified that the teaching of Flat Geometry through Geometric Constructions with ruler, set square and protractor is valid to help the students in the learning of Flat Geometry, thus being able to articulate registers of geometric representations and natural language, besides not confusing the mathematical object with their representation.
