Prosamim: desafios de implantação de infraestrutura de saneamento e ocupação do solo urbano na cidade de Manaus, Amazonas

Abstract

The present research aims to evaluate in function of the environmental aspects, the advances, the difficulties and the deficiencies of the Social and Ambient Program of the Igarapés of Manaus (PROSAMIM), and its relation with the questions of infrastructure of basic sanitation (sewer, water, draining and garbage), It is having as study universe the neighborhoods of Cachoeirinha, Educandos, Santa Luzia, Morro da Liberdade and Betânia - area pilot of the program - and respectively Compensa, it is situated in south and west zones of Manaus city, capital of Amazon. It approaches questions that present itself between the specificities of the natural environment and the effective environmental legislation. A concern that supports itself not only in the aesthetic focus of the urban environment, but in all surrounding and vital aspects for the guarantee of the human being life. A planning that has taken in consideration the use and occupation of the urban ground, as well as the influence of the processes of space distribution of the population and the economic activities made there. As conclusion, it has identified to the possibilities of its errors and rightness, but also if this type of intervention used in the first stage, can be understood for the next phases of the program, taking itself in consideration the infrastructure systems of effective sanitation.
