Resumo

The content of this dissertation is about a teaching project that aimed to develop a tutorial of practical classes using an application as a collaborator of pedagogical praxis to discuss environmental issues. The application detects and characterizes elements of nature using Artificial Intelligence technologies. To achieve the objective, classes were taught adopting active teaching-learning methodologies for the research subjects. The performances took place with the students of the technical course in computer science at the Federal Institute of Amazonas on the campuses of the municipalities of São Gabriel da Cachoeira and Maués. The content discussions were based on Paulo Freire's praxis, in which theory and practice come together to develop in the student a process of emancipatory transformation based on reflection-action- reflection. Because of the environmental context in which most students were inserted, the generator theme chosen was Amazonian flora. The classes took place in phases and in different disciplines whose results added to the tutorial content. Interviews were conducted via form with open and closed questions to be able to analyze the effects of the experiences lived by the students. The resulting educational product contributes to the improvement of practices and the educational praxis of teachers from different areas of knowledge, as well as making them rethink lesson plans with the themes of environmental sciences mediated by Digital Information and Communication Technologies.
