Resumo

Organizations, public or private, are looking for more and more improvements in their areas of action, and changes in the organization is a consequence of the organization's own dynamics. The term Organizational Culture has been each day more associated with management processes, because it refers to how members of an organization share guiding values of how they think, act and behave in the context they operate. The objective of this research is to identify the Organizational Culture of the Amazonian Museum, a supplementary organ of the Federal University of Amazonas, through an analysis of its peculiarities and characteristics. The analysis is going to be from a qualitative analysis based on the FLEURY methodology, and a quantitative analysis from the values and organizational practices extracted from the Brazilian Instrument for the Evaluation of Organizational Culture (IBACO), in order to know the factors that need to be worked out in order to provide a more favorable environment for the activities and implementation of the Museological Plan. The Methodology is based on a bibliographical and documentary search, and on the application of the IBACO questionnaire to all the employees and co-works of the Amazonian Museum. The questions used in IBACO sought to evaluate seven items: cooperative professionalism values, rigidity values in the hierarchical structure of power, values of competitive and individualistic professionalism, values associated with employee satisfaction and welfare, external integration practices, reward practices and training and practices to promote interpersonal relationships. Through the analysis of the results of the qualitative and quantitative evaluations described above, the SWOT analysis was used for a diagnosis of the organizational culture, in a way that was possible to identify the strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities present in the Culture. As a result of the research there is a proposed 5W1H action plan for managing the Organizational Culture of the Amazonian Museum through projects and actions, in order to make it strong enough to collaborate to the organizational policies that will be implemented with the elaboration of the Museological Plan as an instrument of Strategic Planning for the institution.
