Avaliação do comércio e da qualidade de painéis de madeira compensada na cidade de Manaus-AM

Abstract

The wooden panel industry is important for the Brazilian economy, especially the dynamics of new technologies associated with the generation of income and employment in the furniture and construction sectors, which is currently the fastest growing sector in the country 's consumption of lumber has gradually decreasing, while the intake panel has a growing trend. The consumption of lumber has decreased gradually, while the consumption of panels has a growing trend. The plywood panels can be produced as general industrial, decorative and structural/naval use, depending on the type of adhesive and blades used in its composition. The quality of a plywood panel depends on the characteristics of the wood used, the quality of the slides and the procedures used in the manufacture of panels. The objective of this study was to evaluate the trade of timber plywood panels in the city and characterize its physical and mechanical properties aiming to know its quality. The panels were randomly selected in companies and subjected to the tests of physical properties such as bulk density and water absorption after 24 hours, the mechanical bending with the determination of the modulus of rupture (MOR) and modulus of elasticity (MOE) and strength in line of glue in wet and dry conditions, according to the Draft Standard Plywood ABNT 31:000.05-001/3. The statistical procedure used to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties was completely randomized design - DIC. The results were made using ANOVA, the F test and compare means by Tukey test both the probability level of 5 %. The results were compared with the minimum values of NBR 31.000.05-001/2:2001 which served as a parameter for the classification of results as to whether or not they agreed with the standard. Trade in panels in the city is evolving, tied to the growth of the construction industry indeed. The quality presented by the panels due to its physical and mechanical properties meet the requirements of the standard, and mostly indicate a good commercial use.
