Sequências e séries: uma abordagem mais aprofundada para o Ensino Médio

Abstract

The objective of this work is to present a succinct but more detailed study of sequence and series contents than those generally covered in high school. We have done a bibliographical review with the basic theoretical foundations of the subjects studied in the first three chapters, these in turn, reinforced by the theory found in appendices A and B. In chapter 4, we present several solved examples that can serve as support for those interested in deepening the study of the contents, be these teachers or students. In this work, we also present, through a clear and concise language, some applications of the real sequences that do not need advanced studies in the area to be understood, for example, the geometric demonstration of the convergence of a geometric series. Also presented are some theorems about the theory of limits, sequences, series and convergence criteria. With this, we believe it is contributing to the improvement of basic education in mathematics.
