Introduction: Depression, according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), consists of: mood instability, anger outbursts, isolation, and difficulty executing tasks. Currently, it is estimated that over 300 million people worldwide face this mental disorder, with an alarming upward trend in childhood depression. In nursing, interventions are made to improve the quality of life of the child and family based on early diagnosis and appropriate action plans within Health Services. Objective: To identify the scientific evidence published regarding nursing interventions in health services for the treatment of childhood depression. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review, which analyzes publications in the Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS), Nursing Database (BDENF), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), and Scopus databases, and follows the 6-step protocol for constructing ILRs. Furthermore, the analysis of the articles was carried out with the aid of the criteria that compose the PRISMA check-list, covering studies published between 2013 and 2023 that addressed the research question. Results: 130 studies were retrieved; however, the final sample consisted of only three, which highlights the urgent need for more research in the area, given the notable scarcity of existing literature. Conclusion: This review identified that nursing interventions for childhood depression are predominantly non-pharmacological.
