Resumo
The indigenous child and play are interconnected in the process of teaching and learning, aiming at cultural development as well as socialization. The research has the relevance of reflecting on these indigenous children within the school of the city and thus allow the teacher to recognize it as a historical-social subject loaded with Sateré-Mawé cultural values. Within the educational scope of the city, the play receives new looks, in this sense interested in analyzing the demand of indigenous students within the institution and what are their identity inheritances lived in school everyday. the general objective of the research was to analyze the types of games that take place inside the school between indigenous and non - indigenous children, and the time and space occupied for the realization of the said games, focusing on indigenous children, games and school. In this sense, it was interested in presenting the demand of indigenous students within the institution, in order to verify the spaces and time lived by the Sateré-Mawé children in the school and its surroundings. And then, point out the types of games that occur inside the school between indigenous and non-indigenous children. In which, it will be important to identify through the games that the teacher performs with indigenous and non-indigenous children the process of cultural socialization, cooperation and competition. Thus, the investigation justifies that studying the play of the Sateré-Mawé in the school of the city and presenting it as a means of teaching and learning is significant for the practice of teaching teaching that has as a public indigenous students. In this context of study, it was taken into account that the Sateré-Mawé are living in the time and space of the non-indigenous. We conclude that the research highlighting playing as a teaching strategy in an intercultural relationship in which there is the sense of universalization of knowledge and knowledge coined in the act of playing, whether with indigenous or non - indigenous children within the school context of the city.
