Resumo
This work is based on analyzing the socio-political role of the Management Council in the construction of the future of the Tarumã Ponta-Negra Environmental Preservation Area. The methodological basis to be used will be a bibliographical review that will allow a dialogue with the main references of the subject in question. The field research has as one of the purposes to gather data regarding the effectiveness of the actions of the council, collection of historical data with the actors involved. This research has as general objective to analyze the socio-political actions of the board of directors of APA Tarumã Black Point in the construction of its future. As a specific objective, first, it is intended to highlight the social conditions of the emergence of the National System of Conservation Units - SNUC, second, to report the origin, formation and consolidation of the Tarumá Ponta-Negra Environmental Preservation Area, third, of the management council, considering its management practice within the APA and examining the social representations of the directors on the future of the APA. After the analysis of the actions and advances of the board and the effectiveness indicators such as the relevance of the actions, observed impacts, persistence in the elaboration and implementation of the management plan and flexibility in the adequacy of changes proposed by external factors and changes in the laws and directives coming from the managing body in response to political decisions, we can affirm that this Council has been an effective public consultation forum with perspectives of improvement in the face of changes in course.
