Resumo

Non-carious cervical lesions are considered modern pathologies of a multifactorial nature, which result in functional and aesthetic impairments. When planning the restorative treatment of these injuries, it is possible to face several clinical challenges. This study aimed to report a clinical case of restorative treatment in Class V cavities using the direct-indirect technique in composite resin. Female patient, 54 years old, hypertensive, presented for evaluation, and during anamnesis, a complaint of dentin hypersensitivity and non-carious cervical lesion on the lower left premolars was identified. The proposed restorative treatment was through the direct-indirect technique in composite resin, which was carried out in two sessions, namely, confection and, cementation of the inlay, final polishing. The direct-indirect technique presents several advantages to be considered as a choice in restorative treatment, such as improvement of the physical properties of the restorative material, precision in finishing and polishing the restoration, more precise marginal adaptation and comfort for the patient.
