Resolução dos problemas de Matemática Financeira com planilhas eletrônicas

Abstract

The contents of financial mathematics are little discussed during Basic Education, despite its importance for the exercise of citizenship and decision making in everyday situations. Thinking about this problem, this dissertation addresses the teaching of financial mathematics, as well as the basic concepts to solve everyday issues going beyond the traditional simple and compound interest calculation, addressing the series of payments and amortization systems. For this, a bi-bliographic review was carried out on the purposes of education and the importance of the study of financial mathematics and the use of spreadsheets in the school environment. Also was made a review of progressions arithmetic and geometric, which serve as basis for the development of financial mathematics contents, and then we propose the development of its contents related to progressions. This provides an understanding of the contents and not just the application of meaningless formulas. In line with the curricular guidelines, it is proposed to solve relevant problems of financial mathematics with the aid of spreadsheets, in addition to facilitating the resolution of questions, prepares students for the job market.
